Tawang is a town in the Himalayas in the far west of the state of Arunachal Pradesh in North-Eastern India. The second-largest Buddhist monastery (Gompa) in the world is located here, and was built in 1681. History and Natural Beauty is how Tawang can be described. This beautiful place is close to the Chinese Border and a few mountains of China can be seen.

Day 1

Guwahati to Bhalukpong. (240 kms/ 5 hrs) Meals: Dinner You will be received by our representative at Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport (IATA: GAU, ICAO: VEGT), of Guwahati, Assam. If you choose to reach Guwahati by train, we will meet you at the railway station. From the airport | railway station , we will be heading to Bhalukpong. It will be a 240 Kms ride. Bhalukpung is a small town located along the southern reaches of the Himalayas in West Kameng district of Arunachal Pradesh in India. We will be helping you to get ILP (Inner Line Permit) to enter the state of Arunachal Pradesh. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 2

Bhalukpong to Dirang. (139 kms/5 hrs) Meals: Breakfast & Dinner Post breakfast we will embark one our journey to Dirang. Situated at an altitude of 4910 ft above the sea level, Dirang a beautiful hill station comprises of Tribal Mahayana Monapas sharing their traditions and heritage which are similar to Western Bhutan. Dirang is located on a picturesque valley in between Bomdilla and Tawang and due to its lower altitude than Bomdila the weather is much milder & comfortable, a constant wind blows along the river valley making it a very pleasant place to stay. Dirang is mostly an overnight tourist destination for visitors going to Tawang in Western Arunacha Pradesh. We will stop at Tipi Orchidarium. If you love flowers then it’s the best place for you. You will get more than hundred species of Orchids. For a lighter refreshment we will stop at Bomdila. We will reach Dirang by evening. Overnight at hotel.

Day 3

Dirang to Tawang. (129 kms/6 hrs) Meals: Breakfast & Dinner Post breakfast we will start our onward journey for Tawang (It will be a hell of a ride !!). We will make 3 stops. We will reach Tawang by evening. • Nyukmadong War memorial. The Nyukmadong War Memorial is located on a specious 1.5 acre plot of land, overlooking the famous battle ground of 18 Nov 1962. It nestles in a three tired terraced landscape with beautiful coniferous trees planted around • Sela Lake, situated at an elevation of 4170 m. It is a breathtaking experience. The lake remains frozen throughout the winter. Sela was a local girl who loved Jaswant, an Indian soldier against her father’s wishes. During the Indo-China war, Jaswant Singh single-handedly fought the Chinese for three days by fooling them while Sela brought him ammunition and food from the camp.The story goes that Jaswant positioned himself on a hill top in a long trench and placed rifles to give an impression that the entire army was behind him. Finally he was betrayed by Sela’s father and was captured and beheaded by the Chinese. Sela in agony committed suicide by jumping from a hillock. Sela after her - Sela Pass which is at 13,700 ft from the sea level (Oh! So much of love). • Pay your homage to the brave soldiers of 1962 Indo- Sino War at Jaswant Garh Memorial. A brass bust of Jaswant is kept in Jaswant Garh, at the site of the battle. Overnight at Hotel

Day 4

Explore Tawang. Meals: Breakfast & Dinner Post breakfast we will be exploring Tawang. The major attractions for today are: • Tawang Monastery for eternal peace. • The Giant Buddha Statue • Tawang War Memorial • The Tawang local market (don’t you want to buy something for your loved ones?). Explore the whole Tawang and don’t forget to try some local foods (It’s delicious). Overnight at Hotel.

Day 5

Bumla Pass (Indo - China Border) Meals: Breakfast & Dinner Post breakfast we will pay a visit Bumla Pass located at Indo-Chinese border. The other major attractions for today are: • Tsungeshwar Lake • Panga- Tengtso Lake. We will help you to take a proper permission to go to the border. Return to Tawang in the evening. Overnight at Hotel

Day 6

Tawang to Bomdila. (179 kms/7 hrs) Meals: Breakfast & Dinner We will be starting our return journey today. Post breakfast we will drive to Bomdila through the Sela Pass. The major attractions for today are : • Nuranang Falls. • Monastery at Bomdila. • The local market for shopping Overnight at Hotel.

Day 7

Bomdila to Guwahati. (279 kms/9 hrs) Meals: Breakfast & Dinner After experiencing the whole week of adventure, we will be driving to Guwahati, the state capital of Assam. In the evening , utilize the free time to look around. Overnight at Hotel.

Day 8

Departure Meals : Breakfast Post breakfast we will drop you, either at the airport or at the railway station(depending on your choice) for your onward journey.

Below rates are in INR on per person basis for twin sharing. . Tour Package Starting From : INR 32,990 per person. *Prices might change at the time of actual book demanding on availability of hotel / vehicles/Season time etc. Inclusions & Exclusions: Included in the costs are: • Assistance by Finderbridge’s representative. • Services of a Local English speaking guide during the tour. • All currently applicable taxes including Service tax. • Basic Hotels with breakfast and dinner • All long distance routes will be covered by using SUVs [Mahindra Bolero/Tata Sumo/Max] • Local Sightseeing using Cars [ Maruti Wagon R or Similar ] • Bumla Pass/Tawang permits/pass Not included in the costs are: • International | Domestic airfares or Domestic Railway fare. • Entrance fees to monuments as mentioned in the itinerary (subject to change if once revised). • Immigration assistance. • Any beverages including mineral water, soft drinks, alcoholic drinks etc • Meals not mentioned in the above itinerary. • Any items of a personal nature such as laundry, telephone calls etc. • The prices do not include: undue escalation in fuel prices, new taxes levies on hotels and transportation services or any hikes in entrance fees.
