Sikkim is a state in northeast India, bordered by Bhutan, China and Nepal. Part of the Himalayas, the area has a dramatic landscape that includes India’s highest mountain, 8,586m Kangchenjunga. Sikkim is also home to glaciers, alpine meadows and thousands of varieties of wildflowers.

This popular eight-day quality tour will show you the best of North Sikkim attractions including Gangtok, Lachen and Lachung. You will also visit ancient monasteries, observe traditional Tibetan culture and see their daily life in depth. In addition, you will also visit Yumthang Valley, Gurudongmar Lake and Chopta Valley. This is a great adventure for you to explore North Sikkim.

Day 1 - Arrive Siliguri/Bagdogra – Gangtok (115kms/4hours)

You will be received at station or airport by our representative. After leaving Siliguri we will drive along the NH 31A through the dense forests of Mahananda Wild Life Sanctuary. Sevoke comes next with its promises for the gorgeous view of Tista river as it comes out from the deep gorge of the Himalayas and spreads itself in the vast plains on North Bengal. From Tista Bazaar follows the winding roads and a picturesque drive through Himalayan hills to Gangtok , the capital of Sikkim. After reaching Gangtok, the remaining day will be at leisure. Day 2 - Explore Gangtok

Post breakfast, we will proceed for local sightseeing around Gangtok including Tashi viewpoint, Ganesh-Tok, Hanuman-Tok. These viewpoints offers panoramic view of snow-capped Himalayan peaks and Gangtok city. Next, we will head towards Rumtek Monastery, Ban Jhakri Falls, Institute of Tibetology to have a glance of Tibetan antics, Orchid House (Collection of Himalayan orchids), etc. At the evening. explore M.G. Marg- the busy market of Gangtok for shopping and try some local cuisines. Overnight stay at Homestay.

Day 3 - Trip to Tsomgo Lake and Baba Mandir

Post early morning breakfast embark on a journey to reach Tsomgo Lake at 12,400 feet above sea level. It is located on the Gangtok-Nathu La highway and derives its water from the melting snows in the mountains enclosing the lake. Further, we will visit Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir which is at 13,200 feet above sea level. The distance between Gangtok and Baba Mandir is approximately 60 km. Post lunch, we will return back to Gangtok. Overnight at Homestay.

Day 4 - Gangtok – Lachen (107kms/5hours)

Post breakfast, we will leave for Lachen. A tiny hamlet in the North Sikkim. During our journey, from Gangtok to Lachen, we will enjoy a small break at Naga Waterfall- the Confluence of Lachen Chu (River) & Lachung Chu (River) at Chungthang. The remaining day will be at leisure. Overnight stay at Homestay.

Day 5 - Lachen– Gurudongmar Lake- Lachen

Post early morning breakfast, we will follow the nerve wrenching hilly roads and head towards Chopta Valley, a relatively unexplored and untouched region in Northwestern region of Sikkim. After driving for few kilometers from Chopta Valley, we will visit Gurudongmar Lake, which is considered as sacred by both Buddhists and Sikhs. The best part about the lake is despite its location, some part of the lake never freezes even in the peak of winter. Overnight stay at Homestay.

Day 6 - Lachen– Lachung (45kms/2hours)

Post breakfast, we will leave for Lachung, which is 45 km from Lachen. Lachung is at an elevation of about 9,600 feet (2,900 m). The word Lachung means ‘small pass’. In between, we will get a waterfall named ‘Amitabh Bachchan Falls’ named after the famous Bollywood Actor Amitabh Bachchan. The remaining day will be at leisure. You can explore nearby localities and try some local cuisines. Overnight stay at Homestay.

Day 7 - Lachung–Yumthang Valley–Gangtok

Post breakfast, we will drive to Yumthang Valley (12,000 ft), which is also known as the valley of flowers. On our way back to the homestay from Yumthang Valley, we will be visiting a hot spring, which is believed to have some medicinal properties. Post lunch, we will drive on our way back to Gangtok. After reaching Gangtok, you are free to explore the city. Overnight stay at Homestay.

Day 8 - Return Gangtok– Siliguri(115kms/4hours)

After experiencing the whole week adventure, we hope that you will leave Sikkim with cherishing memory and an experience of a lifetime. Our representative will drop you to your respective location for your onward journey. We wish you a happy and safe journey.

Finderbridge reserves the right to modify the itinerary at any point, due to reasons including but not limited to: Force Majeure events, pandemic lockdowns, strikes, fairs, festivals, weather conditions, traffic problems, overbooking of hotels / flights, cancellation / re-routing of flights, closure of / entry restrictions at a place of visit, etc. While we will do our best to make suitable alternate arrangements, we would not be held liable for any refunds/compensation claims arising out of this.

The package of the tour may vary on the number of people that will be coming in the tour.

Confirmation Policy

  • Payment can be done in parts.
  • After making your first payment, you will get an email confirmation.
  • Once you make the 100% payment for your booking, you'll get the booking voucher containing all the information about your trip.

Refund Policy

The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.

Cancellation Policy

  • If cancellation are made 30 days before the date of travel then 25.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellation are made 15 days to 30 days before the date of travel then 50.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellation are made 0 days to 15 days before the date of travel then 100.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

Payment Terms Policy

100% of total tour cost will have to be paid 10 days before the date of travel.
