Day 24 November - Arrive at Imphal

Arrive at Imphal International Airport. Check in at the ethnic homestay and have a
traditional lunch. Visit Imphal Town in the evening.

Day 25 November - Day 5 of Sangai Festival

Post breakfast, Visit the main festival arena of Sangai Festival ( Bheigyachandra Open Air Theatre)
and experience the most vibrant and biggest festival of Manipur. Witness the folk songsand dance from different cultural groups and tribes of Manipur.

Day 26 November - Day 6 of Sangai Festival

Post breakfast, witness the second day of Sangai Festival and catch the War Dance
performances, music concerts, traditional folk dances and enjoy the ethnic Manipur dishes.
Explore the local market in the evening and overnight at homestay.

Day 27 November - Day 7 of Sangai Festival

Post breakfast, Drive to the World's only floating National Park Keibul Lamjao National Park
and see the beauty of the landscape. Spend the day over there. Have a boat safari over
the Loktak Lake and enjoy a fine Manipuri lunch.

Day 28 November - Day 8 of Sangai Festival

Today we drive to Ukhrul to exoerience some events of Sangai Festival there and visit
the beautiful mountains of Ukhrul. The district is most famous for the rare Shirui Lily
(Lilium mackliniae) which thrives on the Shirui Peak and is the state flower of Manipur.
Mountain ranges, knolls, waterfalls, crystal clear rivers and lakes add to the charm of
Ukhrul. At 3114 m, Khayang Peak is the highest peak; however, Shirui Kashung Peak
(2835 m) is more popular.

Day 29 November - Day 9 of Sangai Festival

Drive to Hapta Kangjeibung which is one of the oldest polo grounds of the world, in the
heart of Imphal, Manipur. Enjoy the Polo Game of Manpur. Traditionally known as Sagol Kangei
(sagol meaning pony and kangei is a game of sticks), this game bringing together horsemanship
and stamina originated in the northeastern state of Manipur in 3100 BC.The festival,
apart from being a cultural event that pitches the state as a world class tourism spot,
aims to save the Sangai. This game holds an important place in the Sangai Festival.
Back to homestay for overnight stay.

Day 30 November - Day 10 of Sangai Festival

Post brekfast, Visit to the Sangai Festival last day and see how the beautiful celebrations
comes to an end with amazing traditional dances, music and ambiences. Bid farewell to
the beautul state and then we drive towards Nagaland. Reach Nagaland by night.

Day 31 Novermber - Kigwema Village of Nagaland

From Imphal, we will head towards Kigwema which will be 4 hours’ drive. After reaching
Kigwema, and the remaining evening for leisure time.

Day 1 December - Inauguration Ceremony of Hornbill Festival

Post breakfast, reach to the Kisama Heritage Village to witness the inauguration ceremony
of India's biggest cultural festival and witness how the tribes of Nagaland showcases the
rich traditions in every form.

Day 2 December - Explore Kohima

Post Breakfast, today you will be exploring Kohima- capital city of Nagaland. The name,
Kohima, was officially given by the British as they could not pronounce the Angami(tribe)
name of Kewhira. It is named after the wild flowering plant ‘Kewhi’ found in that area.
You will visit various places such as- Kohima Museum: Nagaland is constituted of as much
as 16 tribes and this museum is a representation of all these tribal groups. The clan
motifs, colorful traditional dresses, dialect, practices and traditions are displayed a the
museum Kohima War Cemetery: This beautiful site is in memoriam of almost 10,000
allied soldiers who lost their lives during the Japanese invasion in the World War-II.
Kohima Cathedral: The church is noted for its architecture which incorporates many
elements of traditional Naga houses, including its facade which resembles that of a
Naga house. The architecture of the cathedral blends into the hill on which it is situated

Day 3 December - Kohima- Kisama Heritage Village

Today after breakfast, you will head towards Kisama Heritage Village, the official venue
of the famous Hornbill Festival. The Government of Nagaland organizes the Hornbill
Festival every year in the first week of December. The first festival was held in 2000.
The festival is named after the Indian hornbill, the large and colourful forest bird which is
displayed in the folklore of most of the state's tribes. After reaching Kisama, you will
spend the rest of the day by witnessing folk songs, dances and locals wearing colourful
traditional attire.

Day 4 December - Explore Hornbill Festival

Post breakfast, today you will be exploring the Heritage village and also the museum and
Morung (tribehouse) of various tribes. Have an ethnic lunch thali and head towards nearby
villages such as Kigwema and Jakhama to experience the local life. You will return back
in the evening.

Day 5 December - Kisama- Dzukou Valley (3 hours trek )

It’s time to head towards the most famous place in entire Nagaland i.e. Dzukou Valley.
The valley is known for its picturesque landscape and the valley is famous for its wide
range of flowers in every season but the most famous one is the Dzukou Lily which is
endemic to this valley. After a simple breakfast, start your journey to the base camp of
the valley from where starts your trek. It is a rigorous 3 hours’ trek and will be a tiring
one. After reaching the camp, freshen up and rest up well.

Day 6 December - Explore Dzukou Valley

Visit the main valley today after some light morning meal. It will be a 1-hour trek.
You will get mesmerized by the scenic view of the main valley. Take in the beauty of the
valley and head back to the guesthouse. After a basic lunch, trek down for another 3 hours
to reach the starting point which is the base camp. Then you will head towards your
homestay.

Day 7 December - Kisama-Khonoma

Start off to another beautiful destination called Khonoma immediately after having your
breakfast. Situated at a distance of about 20 kms from Kohima, Khonoma Green Village
is one of its kind in India and is home to the Angami tribe. Listen to stories of how these
people transformed into nature conservationists from being hunters in the past. See how
houses are made using natural elements and handicrafts as well. Inspire yourselves with
the initiatives taken by the Angamis to conserve and protect their environment.

Day 8 December - Khonoma- Dzuleke-Kohima

Post early breakfast, first you will visit the famous village of Dzuleke. Then, you will head
back to Kohima where you will spend the rest of the day at the Hornbill festival which
offers colourful sights and demonstrations of the tribes, their cultures and traditions.
You will also be taken to visit Phesama village on your way back to Kohima followed by
an overnight stay.

Day 9 December - Hornbill Festival

Post breakfast, Visit the Festival Ground and spend half day witnessing the amazing dances,
music,art, local games. Click photographs with all the tribes of Nagaland and then visit
the women's local market.Try out all he traditional ethnic cuisines.

Day 10 December - Last day at Hornbill Festival

Today is the last day of the Hornbill Festival. So it will be a grand night. Enjoy your day
to the fullest. All of the streets will be filled with lights and flooded with people. After the
fun affair, head back to the homestay for overnight stay.

Day 11 December - Return to Guwahati

It’s time to leave Nagaland after a healthy breakfast. While coming back to Guwahati,
rewind those memories of experiencing Hornbill Festival, trekking through Dzukou Valley,
enjoying the culture of the beautiful tribes, etc. After reaching Guwahati, you will be
dropped at your respective location depending on your mode of travel. We wish you a
happy and safe journey for your onward destination.

  • Once you make the 100% payment for your booking, you'll get the booking voucher containing all the information about your trip.

Refund Policy

The applicable refund amount will be processed within 10 business days.

Cancellation Policy

  • If cancellation are made 30 days before the date of travel then 25.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellation are made 15 days to 30 days before the date of travel then 50.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.
  • If cancellation are made 0 days to 15 days before the date of travel then 100.0% of total tour cost will be charged as cancellation fees.

Payment Terms Policy

100% of total tour cost will have to be paid 10 days before the date of travel.
